Take a look at the events we have coming up this September:

On-site

Sunday September 7th:  How to Write Effective Arts Grants — a workshop with Leah Bobet and Michael Matheson. Valuable advice for writers. Tickets are $10, available here. 1pm

Saturday September 13th:  Book Launch for Hieroglyph, an anthology of stories and visions of a better future, featuring contributors Madeline Ashby and Karl Schroeder. Because we could all use some good news. 3pm: there will be snacks.

Friday September 19th:  Thirty Years of Fionavar! Help us celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Guy Gavriel Kay‘s spectacular series. Join Guy, cover artist Martin Springett, along with musicians and readers and all-around fans. We’ll eat, drink, and make merry in style. 7pm onwards.

Sunday September 28th:  Book Launch for Radiant, by our good friend (and former employee) Karina Sumner-Smith. You don’t want to miss the debut of this lovely, powerful novel. So join us here at 1pm.

Off-site

Sunday September 7th:  Book Launch for Midnight Queen, by local author Sylvia Izzo Hunter. We’ll be at the North York Central Library, in room #1. Meet us there at 1pm.

Thursday September 11th:  Author Thomas King in conversation with Marci Ien, 7pm at the Appel salon at the Toronto Reference Library. Tickets are required but free; details here.
