Join The Friends of the Merril on Saturday, October 24th from 2:00 to 4:00 for a roundtable discussion, Seeing Our Diversity in Science Fiction and Fantasy. The event is sponsored by the Toronto Public Library.
The discussion will be moderated by academic & artist Derek Newman-Stille. The panelists will be Dr. Kathryn Allan, Editor of Disability in Science Fiction and Co-Editor of Accessing the Future; Kelly Robson, Author of “Two-Year Man”, “Waters of Versailles”, and “The Three Resurrections of Jessica Churchill”; and Léonicka, creator of DiverseCanLit.ca.
The event will be held in the reading room of the Merril Collection, 3rd floor of the Lillian H. Smith Library at 239 College Street. The library is wheelchair accessible and can be approached, entered, and used by persons with physical and/or sensory disabilities.
